Shakira Isabel Mabarak Ripoll was born on 2th of February 1977. She was born in Colombia with her mother.

When she was little, she starts to sing and dance. When se was eight se composed her fisrt song.

Later, she is a bilingual singer and she can do some English songs and some Spanish ones.

Now Shakira is an international star. Music is important for her, she is also interested with other projects.

She spends a lot omf time in "Pies descalzos" foundation, which works in education from childs from Colombia and she is UNICEF ambassador.
